Q: When do I need to transition to WPS Community Manager?

A: Effective July 1, 2019, the Medicare EDI Gateway (MEG) will be discontinued. All providers need to be transitioned to WPS Community Manager to continue transmitting claims and receiving remits from WPS. eSolutions recommends transitioning ASAP to avoid last minute issues.

Q: Who should initiate the transition to WPS Community Manager?

A: WPS sent campaign emails to the submitter id owner in May 2019. The submitter id owner should initiate the transition to WPS Community Manager.

Q: How do I transition to WPS Community Manager?

A:  Transition instructions are provided on the WPS site. Click here to begin.

Q: Will I be assigned a new submitter?

A: No – WPS will be migrating all existing submitters to the new system.

Q: Can I still transmit claims and receive remits using eSolutions?

A: Yes – Transmitting claims and receiving remits using eSolutions is recommended.

Q: What additional setup is needed to complete my transition to WPS Community Manager?

A: Once transitioned, providers must access the WPS Community Manager site and enable WPS Gateway Express. eSolutions uses the WPS Gateway Express to transmit claims and receive remits on providers behalf. In addition, providers must configure WPS Community Manager logins in File Transfer Service. Please contact your system admin or eSolutions representative if needing assistance configuring logins.
