Review Choice Demonstration Update

CMS announced that Review Choice Demonstration (RCD) would begin no earlier than December 10, and that date has come and gone. Providers are still waiting for the RCD portal to open so they can make their choice of pre-claim review, post-payment review or a limited review with a 25-percent payment reduction. Home Health Quality on the Upswing, Readmission Rates Hold Steady

National averages for patient outcomes improved for eight out of nine quality domains. Readmissions have stayed at a constant 16 percent since 2013. Read more at Home Health Care News.


2018 Medicare Fee-for-Service Improper Payment Rate Is Lowest Since 2010

CMS saw the improper payment rate fall from 9.51 percent in 2017 to 8.12 percent in 2018. Since 2015, improper home health payments have decreased by $6.92 billion. Read more on CMS.gov.
